Vehicle Entrance Passes

AHFSH, under an agreement with Ft. Sam Houston, plays the majority of its home games on fields located within Ft. Sam Houston. This agreement requires the league to implement certain safeguards necessary to maintain security at the post. Entrance passes are required to enter FSH. If your son or daughter is registered with AHFSH, you may request a pass valid for the 2008-2009 season. All others will need to acquire a day pass (see FAQ's below). Please remember Ft. Sam Houston is a government military installation.

Can I use my pass from the fall season for the spring?

Yes, passes issued in the fall are good for the spring season. Passes issued in the spring are good for the spring season only.

Where can I pick up my passes?

Passes can be picked up at Guest Services at North Star Mall. Guest Services is located between the Armani and Coach stores (near The Cheesecake Factory) and is open from 10:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday and from 12:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Sunday. Passes are printed each week on Wednesday for distribution on Thursday. The vehicle registration confirmation page will state when your pass will be available.

Why is the "Request A New Pass" link available only through 10/9?

AHFSH cannot issue passes beyond the initial registration period for security purposes.

Can I obtain passes for relatives, friends, caregivers, etc….?

No, except where the relative or caregiver regularly provides transportation for the player. Friends may not receive passes under any circumstances.

How many passes am I allowed?

You are allowed passes for up to 3 vehicles where all drivers reside at the address listed on the pass except in the extenuating circumstance of family and caregivers above.

If I do not have a pass, how do I enter Ft. Sam Houston?

You may acquire a day pass from either the Walters Street or Benz-Engleman gates. All adult occupants of the vehicle will need a valid photo ID. The Walters Street provides the most convenient access to the soccer fields.

Why is obtaining a pass so difficult?

Ft. Sam Houston is a military installation under heightened security and has specific rules regarding pass issuance. Security is paramount and convenience is secondary. Our ability to play soccer at Ft. Sam Houston is a privilege, not a right. Please, help us maintain our relationship with our military hosts by obeying the rules and understand that the directors of AHFSH must operate by the rules set forth by Ft. Sam Houston.

Rules

1. Passes, along with the driver's valid photo ID, must be provided upon entrance to Ft. Sam Houston and the name on the pass must match that of the individual on the photo ID card. The vehicle license plate must match the plate information on the pass. Additionally, all adults in the vehicle must present a photo ID.

2. Vehicles with expired registration and/or inspection stickers may be denied entrance.

3. Passes are valid at all gates.

4. Passes must be placed on the dashboard and remain there until departure.

5. Parking is permitted only in the parking lots on Stanley Road. Do not park in the Officers' Club (north of fields) parking lot. You may be issued a ticket and your vehicle towed. Do not park on residential streets on post.

6. Please do not bring pets onto post.

7. At the conclusion of your game or practice session , vehicles must depart the post promptly by the most direct route.

8. Non-AHFSH soccer teams visiting Ft. Sam Houston must enter post by either the Walters Street or Binz-Engleman gates and acquire a day pass.
